A Superfine Tee Shirt Line

There is nothing more simple than throwing on a tee shirt, but finding a great tee isn't always as easy as it seems.  It bothers me when they are too tight or clingy and they are unflattering when they are too big.  I've had many tee shirts end up with little holes in the front because they are too thin, and there is nothing worse than a rough tee shirt as they are meant to be comfortable.  Luckily, I have found a new line that is just right. Tobey Grey makes a tee shirt line that is sold exclusively at The National Jean Company Boston.  Not only are these tees super soft, but they hang just right and are very flattering.  With a variety of styles including crew neck, v-neck, scoop and tanks I will be stocking up this summer.  And ladies, make sure to tell the men in your lives as they come in their sizes too!

Here are a few looks of  how I styled my Tobey Grey Tees

Here I am wearing the scoop neck pocket tee in navy.  I paired it with white denim shorts and gladiator sandals

I am obsessed with the tanks.  They can be worn casually or dressed up.  Here I paired a white tank with a simple black skirt.

I decided to pair my black Tobey Grey tank with skinny black jeans giving me a bit of toughness

The Perfect Strapless Bra

 Fantasie FL4530 strapless bra

I never thought there was such a thing as the perfect strapless bra until a few of years ago.  Being well endowed, I had come to the conclusion that anything strapless was just not going to be part of my wardrobe.  It was when my sister got married and chose strapless dresses for her bridesmaids that I was determined one last time to find that bra.  Being the maid of honor, I refused to look droopy and have an ill fitting dress in the photos.  That was when I discovered Intimacy, a bra shop where the sales associates really know their merchandise and find bras that truly fit to your body.  With my own personal stylist fitting me, she found me a strapless bra that not only held those knockers up, but was actually comfortable!!  I’d like to note that Intimacy is now the only place I shop for my bras.  Now some of you might be thinking, well your boobs aren’t that big.  It is time to let you in on a secret: I used to be a 32FF.  Yes, I’ve had a breast reduction.  And yes, I went and bought this bra again in my new size.   I swear by this bra and recommend it whether you are a B cup or a FF.  So ladies, your search is over.

Rebecca Taylor Resort 2014

photos courtesy of style.com

It’s hard to think about resort 2014 seeing as summer has just started.  Although the collections show clothes that are made for warmer climates and spring approaching, I’m reminded that we have to go through winter to there.  But still, I have been looking though the collections in excitement of what’s to come.  One I am very excited for is Rebecca Taylor.  Known for her femininity and floral patterns, she has taken the girl next door and added a bit of edge, and I am obsessed.  Floral dresses with leather vest, tweed jackets with studs, graphic lace, and it all screams feminine that is toughed up.  I am counting down the days until these pieces are in my closet…. even though I don’t want summer to pass by too quickly.

Peek-a-boo and Color Block

When I saw this Parker top, I had to have it right away.  Not only does it possess a great use of color blocking, but I immediately fell in love with the peek-a-boo back.  I believe there is nothing sexier than wearing a backless article of clothing, whether it be a dress or top.  Although this one only reveals a small amount of the back, mixed with the color block it makes a great statement.  It was the perfect top for me to wear this past Saturday night when I went out with my girlfriends to the Seaport District.  I kept my outfit simple by pairing it with black skinny jeans, black sandals and a nude bag in order to keep the focus on the top.  I'd also like to note that this would be a great day to night top.  It would work great under a blazer during work, then head out for drinks by taking off your blazer and throwing on a pair of heals!

I am wearing a Parker top, J Brand Maria jeans Steve Madden sandals, Chanel bag, House of Harlow necklace, David Yurman and Lisa Freede bracelets, Rebecca Minkoff and Asos rings.

Goldfinger

I’m not sure if it’s the June weather or because all I want to do lately is wear white, but I can’t seem to put on enough gold jewelry.  It probably is a cause of both, I love wearing white in the summer and nothing goes better with white than gold!  Although I’ve been wearing all my jewelry gold, I’ve been over indulging with rings. My motto this summer is there is no such thing as too much.  Here I am wearing rings by Rebecca Minkoff, Asos, and Sassy Brown.

Impressed with imPRESS

There is nothing like freshly manicured nails, especially in the summer time.  Unfortunately, this season I have been so busy that I don’t always have time to make it to the salon.  That is why I am extremely excited to have discovered imPRESS, press on manicure by Broadway.  These are nails that literally adhere onto your real nails just like a sticker.  It only took me five minutes to put on imPRESS nails, and not only do I not have to wait for them to dry, but they look like my natural nail.  Best yet they lasted all week, did not chip, and I had so many people compliment me on my manicure!  I prefer the French manicure in Shout, but they have 36 colors and patterns including ones for the toes.   Thank you imPRESS for making my life that much easier.
