Double Slit Maxi Dress

Can you believe that Labor Day Weekend is here already?  I feel like my summer has just begun, but with a trip to the cape this week and fun family activities planned this weekend, I am ready to have one last summer hurrah then say hello to fall (and cozy knits!).  I have already worn this maxi dress a couple of times, and will be wearing it again this weekend.  It is the perfect dress to wear to a BBQ not only because of the fun pattern, but because it is extremely comfortable, and the banded waist helps conceal the stomach so you can eat as much as you want!  This dress would also be perfect for a pool party, or add a pair of heels (or wedges as I did) and wear it out to dinner.

My favorite detail on this dress is the double side slits.  I don't feel contained with its long length and I can show a little leg, making it a bit flirty.

This dress is from my friend's boutique, Ceci Palm Beach, located in Palm Beach Florida.  Ceci carries the best selection of resort wear and accessories at great prices that won't have you breaking the bank.  With constant shipment of new merchandise from dresses to off-the-shoulder tops and jumpsuits, Ceci has the perfect pieces whether vacationing or just heading out to dinner.  If you follow Ceci Palm Beach on Facebook or Instagram @cecipalmbeach they are constantly updating photos of their new arrivals, and if you see something you like, just email or call and it can be shipped to you.  Best yet, they ship for free on Wednesdays!

Pink Jacket and White Pumps

I picked up this jacket and these white pumps recently during the Zara sale.  This jacket is a perfect piece for transitioning into fall, and I love how it adds a little sophistication to my ripped jeans and tank top.  A pair of white pumps had been on my wish list for a while, but didn't want to spend a lot of money on them since I am very likely to get them dirty.  This pair by Zara is perfect.  Not only because they are a great price, but I love how they have the two tone detail making them a little more fun.  Next on my wish list is a pair of nude pumps, which will be more of an investment purchase, as nude pumps are a basic every woman should have in her closet.

This weekender bag by Danzo is the perfect diaper bag for twins.  It's spacious enough to carry two of everything, plus it has lots of compartments to keep me organized.  It also comes with the cutest changing pad and labels for each compartment.

Off-the-Shoulder Top and Lace Shorts

I'm loving how off-the-shoulder tops are popping up everywhere.  I wore everything off-the-shoulder a couple of years ago, and am happy to pull these tops out of my closet again.  They exude just the right amount of sexiness, and are classy enough to wear during the day.  This top I am wearing is actually a dress, and yes I wore it as a dress in my twenties (without the belt, so it did fall longer).  Now that I'm in my thirties and a mom, I only thought it appropriate to wear as a top.  Which leads me to these lace shorts.  I'm finding them the perfect match when wearing dresses or tunics that may be a tad too short for comfort.  I love how the peek lace adds a playful feel to complete the outfit.

Twin Boys

They've arrived!

I first want to apologize for the radio silence, but I have two very good reasons: Mason Thomas Leung and Tyler Mark Leung who were born on July 3, 2014 (which you probably already know if you follow me on Instagram)!  I know it's been five weeks, (I can't believe my boys are five weeks old already) but caring for two infants is a non-stop job and I've barely had time to brush my teeth, let alone create a blog post.  Now that we are developing a daily routine, I am going to do my best at updating the blog on a regular basis, especially now that I fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes.  After nine months of maternity wear (my jeans were barely buttoning at 6 weeks with the twins) it's very exciting rediscovering everything I have in my closet.  It's almost like having a whole new wardrobe!

I want to thank everyone who followed along during my pregnancy as I was discovering what clothes best flattered my growing bump.  Now I have a very exciting journey ahead of me.... Motherhood.  So far this journey has been the most awe-inspiring and rewarding one I have experienced, and I can't even begin to describe the love I have for these two boys.  I'm excited to share how my personal style will evolve as a mother, and the life lessons these boys will teach me.
