Red, White, and Pom Poms + Link Up

My favorite weekend has finally arrived.  Bring on the beach, barbecues, and boat rides!  I don't think that there's a more fun holiday than the 4th, and what makes celebrating our country's independence even more special, is that it's also the twins birthday.  I waited a lifetime for my boys to come into my life (or at least it felt that way) so their birthday is my favorite day of the year.  Since we'll be spending the holiday at the lake, I wanted to plan a casual look, so I reached for a pair of denim shorts (these are seriously the best cut-offs that I have ever owned) and a red top.  I actually got this off-the-shoulder top last year, and it's still one of my favorites, as I can't get enough of the the pom pom detailing on the sleeves.  I thought denim shorts added the perfect amount of blue, then for my white, I added a white panama hat.  Although, now looking at these photos I realized that I didn't need the hat, because my legs added more than enough white to my look (time for a tan)!!  I finished my outfit with my pom pom sandals for a cute, easy, and festive look.  What will you be wearing this fourth?

Melissa, Sheree, and I are all sharing July 4th inspired looks for today's link up, so make sure to visit their blogs for more festive outfits.  I wish everyone a great weekend and a happy July 4th!

For the Love of Pineapple

*This post contains sponsored content and affiliate links.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that I love here on Threads for Thomas.

Happy Tuesday!  Anyone else getting excited for the upcoming holiday?  The 4th of July is one of my favorite days (tied with Thanksgiving), plus the twins will be turning three on Monday, so there is so much to celebrate.  We'll be heading to the lake this weekend and staying through the 4th, and you can bet that this pineapple tee will be coming with me.  Has anyone else been crushing on pineapples lately?  Not only is it one of my favorite fruits to eat (and put in drinks), but I've been loving the design on everything from clothing to home decor.  I recently got this gold pineapple tee from Ceci Palm Beach, and have been wearing it non-stop.  If you have been following my blog for while, you know that Ceci is one of my favorite boutiques located in Palm Beach Florida.  Although they don't sell online, they do ship, and I'm pretty sure this tee is still in stock, so just give them a call.  I decided to go for an all white look by pairing my pineapple top with white jeans, and finishing my outfit with some gold accessories.  I have also been wearing this tee with denim shorts, and love the laid back look.  Just add a red lip and some fun red earrings (I just got this pair here), and you have one cute red, white, and blue (and gold) look for the 4th of July.

I did link some cute pineapple tees below, along with all the pineapple goodies that I'm currently crushing on.  I'm in love with these pajama bottoms, and think I need this float for the upcoming weekend.

Palm Prints With Stitch Fix + Link Up

*This post contains affiliate links.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that I love here on Threads for Thomas.

Happy Friday!  I'm kicking off this weekend by sharing a look from my latest Stitch Fixbox.  My fix this month consisted of two tops, a pair of denim shorts, some gold bracelets, and this this palm print dress, which I was excited to find in my box.  Palm prints are huge this summer, and I've been loving the print on everything from dresses to bathing suits (I have my eye on this one here).  Not only am I obsessed with the print on this dress, but I love the pink and navy color, and the tiered skirt.  I paired this dress with my favorite nude heels, making it perfect for all of those summer events (bridal showers, bachelorette parties, dinner rehearsals),  but I can also see myself wearing it with flats and a denim jacket (if it's not too hot) for a cute everyday look.  Did I mention that this dress is under $80?? It's available through Stitch Fix, but I also linked a few of the palm print dresses that are currently on my wish list, below.

I did show the rest of the of my fix on my Insta Stories yesterday, which you can still catch if you're reading this before 3pm EST!

If you're unfamiliar with Stitch Fixit is a clothing subscription service where items are picked out based upon your style preferences, and delivered right to your door step.  Upon signing up, you are asked questions about your style, then assigned a stylist who picks out five items per shipment to send you.  You have three days to try on the clothes and decide what you want to keep or send back. This is the best part about the service, since you are able to do this in the comfort of your own home. You simply keep what you want, and send the rest back in the prepaid shipping bag that is provided. There is a styling fee with each box of $20, however, if you decide to purchase items from your box, then the $20 is put towards your purchase.  If you decide to keep all 5 items, then you get a 25% discount!  You can read my past couple of Stitch Fix reviews here and here.

Does everyone have fun plans this weekend?  It will be a relaxing one for me, which I am excited about, as we have been traveling the past few weekends.  My mom is coming to visit tonight, but besides that, I plan on just relaxing with my boys.

The Best White Tee Shirts and Jeans

As much as I love wearing all of the fun summer trends (off-the-shoulder, ruffles, gingham), there is one outfit that is a staple in my closet, which is a pair of jeans and white tee.  Not only is the look classic, but it's so simple and easy to wear.  Pair them with a pair of flats, and you're ready for errands or a day at the park, or add a pair of heels and some statement jewelry, and you're set to grab drinks.  The problem is, finding the perfect white tee shirt is not always the easiest task.  A lot of them tend to be either too thin and sheer, or too thick and bulky.  The tee I'm wearing happens to be perfect.  It's from Tapered Collection, which is a brand that I was recently introduced to, and mentioned in Friday's post.  Not only does it fit great, but it's machine washable and pre-shrunk, so you can throw it in the dryer.  Along with Tapered Collection, which you can shop here, some of my other favorite brands for tee shirts are Splendid, Madewell, and Wilt.  I love the way tees from these brands hold up, and fit against the body.  I linked some of my personal favorite tee shirt picks below, along with my top picks for distressed jeans, all under $100.  Distressed denim has been my go-to this season, and I love the way they add a little edge to an otherwise classic look.
