Stitch Fix for the Holidays + Link Up

Earlier this week I received my latest Stitch Fix shipment, and I have to say, it was one of the best yet!  Those who have been following this blog for the past year, or longer, know that I've been really happy with my Fixes.  My stylist usually gets my style spot on, which is why I went from receiving monthly Fixes, to every other month, because they were draining my wallet!  Now, they haven't all been perfect, but loving eight out of the past ten shipments is a pretty good number in my book.

This month's Fix was filled with pieces that were ideal for the holiday season and beyond.  The item that first caught my eye, which I needed to try on right away, were these Level 99 iridescent splatter jeans.  Not only did they fit perfectly, but I love how the grey paint splatters shimmered in the right lighting, making them perfect for any holiday event.  It totally looked like I was wearing sequin pants in these photos, but if you look closely, you can see that they're shinny splatters of paint!  The other item that caught my eye was this cold shoulder sweater.  You all know that I'm a sucker for anything cold shoulder, so that mixed with the ruffle detailing had me excited to try it on.  The fit was spot on, but I was a little hesitant to keep this one, as I had just added this cold shoulder sweater to my wardrobe.  However, since I didn't yet own a burgundy sweater, and the cut was slightly different, I decided to keep this one too!  Together they make a perfect holiday outfit.  I finished my look with my favorite grey booties (now under $100), and love the edge that they added with the splatter pants.
To make this look a bit dresser, I would switch out my boots for a pair of killer heels, and add more sparkle with my jewelry.

Also included in my Fix was a cute fitted skirt, a bell sleeve blouse (which I also loved) and a pair of fringe earrings (items shown at end of post).  Because I only allow myself to keep a item or two each Fix, these were sent back.

I have been using Stitch Fix for a year and a half now, and love the service.  As someone who is a constant shopper (aka shopaholic), I love that I get a package full of clothing delivered to my doorstep every other month (you can get it as often, or little as you would like), with no obligation to buy!  Even though I consider myself to be a stylist, it's always fun to have someone else's eye, because they introduce you to things you would never think of trying on yourself.  Not only is my favorite sweater from Stitch Fix (remember this one here), but I have discovered several new brands that I love through the service.  If you're looking for the perfect gift for that special woman in your life (mom, sister, best friend), then I highly suggest a Stitch Fix Gift Card!  They come in any denomination over $20, and are perfect for those of you who are last minute shoppers, because you can print the gift cards from home!  Not only are you giving the gift of style, along with your own personal shopper, but it's also a gift of convenience.  Perfect for those busy women in your life who don't have time (or like) to shop.  And ladies, don't forget that Stitch Fix has men's!  Give those men in your life a little style!

Getting Holiday Ready With Babble Boxx

*This post is sponsored by  All opinions are my own.  Thank you for supporting the brands that make Threads for Thomas possible

The holiday season had arrived, which means this month will be filled with parties, events, and time with the family.  For all of these occasions, I like to look and feel by best, and thanks to Babble Box for sending me a variety of products to try,  I now have everything that I need to look party perfect.  From waxing, to teeth whitening, and achieving the perfect holiday makeup, here are the products that will have you stepping out the door in style.

Woosh Beauty Fold Out Face

Woosh Beauty

I love the idea of Woosh Beauty's Fold Out Face!  It's everything that you need in one palette, making beauty on the go, easy.  Included in the palette are four different eye shadows, two perfectors (for concealing), two blush colors, and a variety of highlight and contour colors.  The Palette also includes a mirror and the brushes that you need to apply the makeup.  Not sure how to apply?  No worries, it comes with step by step directions!  There are five different palettes to chose from (I use medium-light) and each palette is only $59.  The makeup is mineral based, Paraben free, and not tested on animals.  I love that I can achieve different looks with just one palette, and the highlight is amazing!

Cheetah Print Boot

It's no secret that I'm obsessed with these cheetah print booties, as you have seen them on the blog (here), and on my Instagram several of times already!  I had been wanting to add a pair of leopard/cheetah print boots to my wardrobe, so when I saw this pair in my Babble Boxx, I was beyond excited.  I love the low heel, making them great for everyday with jeans and a chunky sweater.  However, they would be perfect paired with a LBD, or black jeans and a blouse, for a casual holiday party.

eyebrow waxing

Now this product I was both excited and nervous to try.  As someone who consistently plucks her eyebrows, trying an at home wax was a little intimidating.  However I did find this product pretty easy to use.  It's a natural, non heat formula in a slim precision applicator that makes waxing in smaller areas easy.  You swipe the wax where you want it, apply the cotton strip, then peel away!  Any extra wax simply washes off with water.  I do have to admit, that my first attempt using this, the wax didn't apply well. After heating the product up a little, I found it to work much better.  I'll definitely be using it again to shape my brows, as it can get smaller hairs, and I can't wait to try it on other areas too!

All Natural Dental Care

This is the product that I was most excited to try!  I have tired multiple teeth whitening products in the past, and non of them have given me the results that I had hoped for.  Primal Life Dental Kit includes the 100% natural Boost Whitening Paste, LED Teeth Whitener, All Natural Toothpowder, and a Charcoal Ion Toothbrush.  Together they work to brighten you smile.  Not only do I love that the products are natural, but the LED is powered by plugging it into your phone, so you can check you emails or browse the Internet while you teeth are being whitened!  I have used this product twice, and am already starting to notice a brighter smile!

Want a whiter smile for the holidays, use code PLOBOXX17 for 20% off your purchase!

Paris Hiton Fragrance

I have to admit that I don't normally wear perfume, so when I saw this Rosé Rush by Paris Hilton, I was a little scared to try it.  However, I was pleasantly surprised by the feminine scent which includes hints of florals and fruits.  Although it is little strong for my taste to wear everyday, it is perfect for a night out or holiday party!

Are you holiday party ready??

Holiday Sweater From Day To Night

Loft Sweater
*This post contain affiliate links

Hello December and happy Friday!  What's everyone up to this weekend?  I don't have any plans, which is a nice change after traveling the past couple of weeks.  This month will be pretty busy, so I'll be using this weekend to relax and catch up on work.

Last week, I was on the hunt for a new sweater to wear for Thanksgiving dinner.  When I came across this cold shoulder number from LOFT, I knew it was the perfect choice.  In addition to it being soft and cozy, the ruffle detailing, along with the cold shoulder cut, gives it a dressier feel.  Not only did I wear it for Thanksgiving, but I've been wearing it non-stop this whole week.  It's the perfect sweater to take you from day to night, so I decided to show you how you can style it both ways.

For my everyday look, I threw this sweater on with my favorite high rise black jeans, and finished my outfit with boots and a beanie.  Easy peasy, casual and cozy.  To take it up a notch for night, I switch out my boots for heels, took off the beanie, and grabbed my vintage Chanel.  It's a perfect look for grabbing drinks with the girls, dinner out with the hubby, or even a casual holiday party.  If you want to dress this sweater up even more, you can tuck it into a circle or midi skirt, add a pair of killer heels, and put on a bold lip.  Done.
