The Dress Every Woman Needs + Sales

Tank Dress #summerdress #summerstyle

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!  Let the (unofficial) kickoff to summer begin!  Does everyone have fun plans?  I'm spending the weekend in Burlington, Vermont with the whole family.  We have some family members running in the Vermont City Marathon, so we're headed there to cheer them on!  I'm excited for a weekend filled with family, BBQs, and roaming around Burlington.  However, I'll be making sure to take a little time for online shopping, because there are a lot great sales going on! I rounded up my favorite stores having sales, along with the items that I have my eye on.  I already bought this top in white, and this top is next on my list.  I'm thinking it will be perfect for those cooler nights by the lake.

Now lets talk about this dress.  If you don't own it, I'm serious when I say you should!  Not only is the cotton material comfortable and a perfect for a hot summer day, but this dress is super flattering.  I've seen it look good on so many different body shapes, and I love how the ruching hits in the right spot, concealing the leftover twin pouch (okay, I can't blame them anymore, I need to blame the Hershey Kisses I eat daily).  I also love that I can throw it on with sneakers or sandals for a cute daytime look, or dress it up with heels and a pair of statement earrings.  Although this dress is not on sale, it is under $60 and comes in nine colors.  (It does come in a denim and coral color, which is on sale, but I believe there is only size XL available).  You can bet I'll be adding another color to my wardrobe real soon, I'm thinking the black is a must!

French Terry Dress + Link Up

French Terry Dress #summerdress #summerstyle
*This post contains sponsored content and affiliate links.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I'm a denim girl at heart.  You all know that there's nothing I'd rather be wearing than a great pair of jeans and a tee.  However, with the hot weather fast approaching, lightweight dresses will soon become my staple.  There is something about a cotton dress that is so easy to wear during the summer months, so I will soon be reaching for them over my favorite pair of jeans.  In fact, I've already worn this coral terry dress three times in the past week (maybe I shouldn't be admitting that)!  The material is a french terry, making it perfect for the beach or pool, but I also love that it can easily be dressed up with a pair of wedges, making it perfect for lunch with the girls.

This dress is by Peach, which has become one of my favorite lines for athleisure wear.  Not only do they have the cutest activewear, but I love how their pieces can be dressed up, and even worn to the office!  Not to mention that I love both the high quality, and ethics behind the company.  I recently posted about this stripe dress from Peach, and you can read more about my love for the brand here.

White Lace Blouse For Mother's Day + Link Up

White Lace Blouse #laceblouse
*This post contains sponsored content and affiliate links.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Happy Friday and Mother's Day weekend.  Do you all have big plans for Mother's Day?  I actually have none, and I love it!  Some of you know that I'm not a morning person, so to get out the door, and handle two high energy toddlers during brunch, isn't the most exciting (or relaxing) way for me to celebrate.  I prefer to sleep in, enjoy my cup of coffee in bed sans kids, then have a relaxing afternoon with my family.

Although I won't be dressing up this year, I still wanted to share some Mother's Day outfit inspiration, and thought this lace blouse would be perfect for the occasion. I love the feminine feel that the tie neck and lace sleeves add, and paired with a skirt, would make a great brunch outfit.  I've owned this wrap skirt for almost two years, and it has been a staple in my closet.  I love that is has such a classic feel, but also a modern twist with the high low hem.  If you wanted the look to be even more feminine, a floral or ruffled midi skirt would be a pretty pairing, and I've linked my top picks for midi skirts below.

Mother's Day With Stitch Fix

Stitch Fix Review #stitchfix
*This post contains sponsored content and affiliate links.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Happy May! Is anyone else in disbelief that we're already in the fifth month of the year? Although I feel like time is passing by a little TOO fast lately, May happens to be one of my favorite months, and I'm happy that we're finally experiencing some beautiful weather here in New England.  I'm also looking forward to all of the holidays this month, including Mother's Day, which happens to be only a week away!  Do you all know what you're getting for the special women in your life?  If you're still looking for a great gift idea, then I highly suggest a Stitch Fix Gift Card.  If you have been following this blog for a while, then you know I am a huge fan of the personal styling service, and recommend it for everyone (yes, it even makes a great Father's Day gift idea). You can purchase the gift cards at different denominations starting at $20, and you have the choice of getting it mailed to you, or printing it on your own. (Perfect for those of us who wait until the last minute to do our shopping!)

This floral print top (by Skies Are Blue) is from my latest Stitch Fix shipment.  You all know that I'm a sucker for all things off-the-shoulder, so when I saw this top in my Fix, I knew it would be a keeper.  Not only do I love the floral print, but the lace detailing and slight peplum style add a pretty and feminine feel.  I paired it with my favorite distressed denim (under $50), and heeled sandals for a date night with Mike last weekend.  If you don't own these heels, I highly suggest them!  They're the most comfortable pair of heels that I own (I can dance all night in them at weddings), and they come in multiple colors.

This top ended up being the only item I kept from my Fix this month.  I did do a Stitch Fix try on session on my Insta Stories, so if you would like to see what else came in my Fix, head over to my Instagram, and you'll see everything under the Stitch Fix highlights.

If you're unfamiliar with Stitch Fixit is a personal styling service where items are picked out based upon your style preferences, and delivered right to your door step.  Upon signing up, you are asked questions about your style, then assigned a stylist who picks out five items per shipment to send you.  You have three days to try on the clothes and decide what you want to keep or send back. This is the best part about the service, since you are able to do this in the comfort of your own home. You simply keep what you want, and send the rest back in the prepaid shipping bag that is provided. There is a styling fee with each box of $20, however, if you decide to purchase items from your box, then the $20 is put towards your purchase.  If you decide to keep all 5 items, then you get a 25% discount! And it's for everyone.  Stitch Fix carries women sizes from XS-3X, men's, petite and maternity!
