Rachael's Radar: Most Popular Recent Purchases

Gold Earrings

It's Friday!  Which also means it's time for another Rachael's Radar, where I share all the things that I'm loving, shopping for, or adding to my wish list.  Today's roundup includes my most popular recent purchases.  Not only have I been wearing these items non-stop, but they're the ones you're all loving, as I constantly get asked about them on social media!

Gold Hoop Earrings
If you follow me on Instagram, you may remember a couple of months back I was having trouble with my earrings bothering my ears.  No matter which pair I would put on, my ears would turn red and itchy within an hour.  I believe the metal from my statement earring were infecting my ears, and decided it was time to invest in quality jewelry to wear on a daily basis.  As solid gold isn't always an affordable choice, I decided to try these gold vermeil hoops, and have been loving them! Not only are they the perfect size for everyday wear, but they are small enough that I can also wear them in my second holes.  The best part is they have not bothered my ears once!  Since (real) gold vermeil is made with sterling silver (look for the .925 symbol to know if it's real) then plated with a thick gold, they are less likely to cause irritation.  They may be a bit pricier than all my statement earrings, but I love that I can wear them daily, and will have them for years.

Normandy Stripe Sweater
This is my favorite sweater purchase this fall!  No only do I love the mustard color stripes, but the sweater is lightweight making it ideal for this time of year.  I recently discovered Carly Jean Los Angeles, and have fallen in love with the shop.  Not only do they have the cutest clothes (if your style is on the boho side, you'll love this shop), but the quality and price are spot on.  Although the sweater runs on the boxier side, I ended up getting a size medium and love the oversized fit.  It also comes in a rust stripe and black stripe.

Creamer LipSense
You guys, this is the perfect fall nude lip color!! If you haven't heard of LipSense, it's a long lasting lip color, that will last up to 18 hours.  It's waterproof, smudge proof, won't transfer off your lip, and basically stays on until you take it off.  I love that its wax free, gluten free, lead free, cruelty free and made in the USA.  LipSense is all that I've been wearing on my lips for the past two years, and every time I have this color on, I always get compliments.

Lashify
I've been getting a lot of compliments about how good my lashes look, and it's because of Lashify, my at home lash extension system.  What I love about them, is they look like real lash extensions, except you put them on at home, and they're much more affordable!  It takes about 10 minutes to put on a set, you get to customize how bold or natural looking you want your lashes, and they last all week!

Sneakers
I'm going to be honest, I never thought I would find myself shopping for clothes at Walmart, but guess what, that's where these sneakers are from! I had seen them on a few other bloggers and thought they were really cute, so I decided to give them a try.  Not only do they look like a more expensive sneaker on, but they have memory foam and are super comfortable. Plus they're under $17!

Scarf
The second I saw this scarf, I fell in love with the colors.  The peach, blush and grey combo are perfect for the fall, and go with so many of my new sweaters.  It also comes in a grey tone, and a bunch of plaid options, and is under $25.

Travel Style in CALIA

Travel Style

Anyone have a weekend getaway planned for this fall? Living in New England, we are blessed with beautiful weather in the autumn, which makes any surrounding town an ideal spot for a little getaway.  However, as beautiful as Boston is, the foliage is a thousand times more intense and breathtaking up north, which is why I always plan a trip to Vermont this time of year.  Which brings me to this outfit, because it's what I plan on wearing for the three hour car ride up north.  These pants are not only comfortable, but they are lightweight and don't wrinkle, making them a great choice for a long car ride or flight. I love how they look styled with a basic tank, but they'll also look great with a cozy sweater as the weather cools off.  I've already been wearing this anorak jacket non-stop!  It's lightweight, water resistant, and moisture-wicking, making it perfect during this in-between season, plus a great throw on for apple picking!

My whole outfit is CALIA by Carrie Underwood, and I have recently become a huge fan of the brand.  I was introduced to the line this past spring, and it's now become my go-to for workout clothing.  I have many pairs of their leggings, and not only are they flattering, but the compression is perfect and they stay in place during my workouts.  Plus I love CALIA's jog bras!  They're the first bras that I have found that actually support larger chests.  Have you tried CALIA by Carrie before?  If not, I highly recommend that you do!
